Appointment System Explained

The surgery uses a combination of active sign-posting and a telephone triage system. This method ensures that resources are used responsibly. There are pre-bookable appointments every day and patients are usually able to book up to three weeks in advance for routine and follow up appointments. Patients are asked to ring at 8am every morning for a same day appointment. You will be triaged by a clinician and will be given an appointment as appropriately clinically judged. Appointments are very limited and once they have been taken for the day, patients are directed to make use of the services offered by the HUB. The HUB offers booked GP appointments up to 10pm at night, weekends and Bank Holidays. The practice is able to facilitate this for you.

If you feel unable to come to the surgery, the clinician will make a home visit after you have been triaged as home visits are only made on clinical grounds.

It would help to plan the Doctor's visits by phoning the practice before 10.30am.  Failure to do so may lead to delays.
